Colleen C. Shriner

Colleen C. Shriner, 90, of Goshen, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born September 16, 1935, in Goshen to Kenneth and Mae Irene (Sheets) Holdread Colleen was a lifelong resident of the Goshen community.

On August 9, 1953, she married Richard A. Shriner in Goshen. They shared 67 years of marriage together before his passing on October 30, 2019.

Colleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family. She was also employed with Salem Bank for 18 years before retiring. Her family was always at the heart of her life, and she treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Ronald) Bontrager of Goshen, Stephanie (Jerry) Conder of Goshen, and Steven (Shirley) Shriner of The Villages, Florida; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and her brother, Philip (Adele) Holdread of Goshen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; and a sister, Kay Nethercutt.

Colleen's family will remember her for the love and care she gave so freely throughout her life. Her gentle presence and devotion to those she loved will remain a cherished part of their memories.

A private graveside service will take place at Violett Cemetery in Goshen.

Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
