Colleen R. Chrispyn

Colleen R. Chrispyn, Goshen, 97, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2026, at her daughter’s residence.

She was born November 13, 1928, in Goshen, to Royse McGuin and Berniece (Shoup) Zollinger.

Colleen married William Chrispyn on July 3, 1946, in Goshen. He passed away on May 19, 1969.

Surviving are children Karen (Eldon) Pletcher, Chad Chrispyn, and Douglas Chrispyn, all of Goshen; three grandchildren, Gina Hartley, Angela (Bob) Airgood, and Erin Chrispyn; and four great-grandchildren, Madison, Carson, and Reagen Hartley, and Jaden (Colin Rost) McClane.

Colleen was a member of DAV Chapter #15, VFW Post #985, and Bristol American Legion Post #143, all women’s Auxiliaries.

She had a special love for dogs and a tender heart for all living things, tending to her plants and enjoying feeding the squirrels. In her quieter moments, she liked watching her favorite soap opera, General Hospital. She also had a sweet tooth, with orange sherbert and chocolate ice cream among her favorites.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 28, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
