Clinnard “Ace” Adkins, 86, of Goshen died March 9, 2023.
He was born February 18, 1937 in Shelbiana, Kentucky to Emmitt and Cindy (Spears) Adkins.
On July 9, 1983 he married Nancy Ann Kemp in Hartford City.
She survives along with two sons, Jeff Martin of Littleton, Colorado and Tony Linn of Elkhart; and a special grandson, Franklin Dylan Vaughn.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Vaughn; six brothers; and five sisters.
Ace was an U.S. Air Force veteran, having served as a communication teletype operator. He was honorably discharged on February 16, 1962, moved to Goshen and spent the rest of his life in the Goshen and Middlebury area.
He worked at Goshen Case Company, and in local manufacturing, retiring as a supervisor from HomeCrest Corporation after 24 years of service.
Ace loved his family, golf, the Green Bay Packers and bluegrass music.
According to his wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 30, at 1 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at noon. Pastor Eileen Thomas will officiate.
