Clifford Hostetler, 93, of Goshen, died Wednesday morning, August 20, 2008, at Greencroft Healthcare where he had been a patient since July 2, 2008. He was born in Goshen on December 20, 1914, to Edward and Edna (Yoder) Hostetler. He married Ruby F. Kalb on April 14, 1934, in Topeka, Indiana. She survives. A farmer and lifelong resident of the community, Mr. Hostetler was a charter member of Waterford Mennonite Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; a daughter, Marilyn (James) Friesen of Westminster, South Carolina; a son, Clair (Naomi) Hostetler of Goshen; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Wilbur (Donna) Hostetler of Goshen. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Arloine Schoomaker and Mabel Hostetler; and a brother, Glen Hostetler. Friends may call 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, August 24 at the funeral home. A 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2008, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Neil Amstutz and Pastor Lester Bauman of Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorial contributions may be made to Waterford Mennonite Church.
