Cleo G. Nisley, 92, of Goshen, died early Sunday morning, December 22, 2013, at Courtyard Healthcare. She was born March 29, 1921 in Larwill to Richard J. and Lillie E. (Cress) Mathias. On May 26, 1972 she married Ray Nisley in Goshen. He died June 10, 1990. She is survived by a son, Tom (Susan) Stark of Goshen; two grandsons, Scott (Amy) Stark of Gilbert, Arizona, and Kevin Stark of Indianapolis; three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Bella and Samuel Stark; five step-children, Omer and John Nisley and Edna Kroll, all of Goshen, Doris (Eugene) Grable of Churubusco and Ruth Ann (Jack) Hertig of Elkhart; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Burrell Mathias and a sister, Maxine Dutkus. A longtime Goshen resident, Mrs. Nisley worked in the shipping department at Goshen Rubber for 26 and one half years, retiring in 1986. Friends may call 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2013, funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Dick Rinearson, St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Boys and Girls Club of Goshen or the American Heart Association.
