Clayton Max Emmons, 77, of Goshen, died Thursday morning, September 16, 2010, at Rivercrest Specialty Hospital, Mishawaka. He was born in Lockhart, Texas, on June 30, 1933, to Beryl and Mary Madeline (Kistler) Emmons. A longtime resident of the area, Mr. Emmons worked for Adams and Westlake in Elkhart as an electronics engineer. He was a member of the National Association of Relay Manufacturers. He was also a member of Church in Goshen. He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (John) Ralston of Niles, Michigan, and Lauri (Adam) Mayer of Lincoln, California; a son, Clayton (Vickie) Emmons of Millersburg; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Dean Emmons and Willis Ray Auer. Friends may call 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, September 19, and 12 to 1 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. A 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2010, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with Mark Jordan of Church in Goshen officiating. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to the donors' choice.
