Clarke E. "Casey" Peru, 88, formerly of Goshen, died May 27, 2012 in Kodiak, Alaska. He was born November 26, 1923 in Blaine, Washington to Archie and Ella Peru. He married Grace Eysol August 19, 1971. She preceded him in death April 25, 2010. He is survived by a daughter, Gina (Mike) Friccero of Kodiak, Alaska; three grandchildren, Colette, Eric and Destin Friccero; three step-children, Richard (Carolyn Eysol of Bristol, Larry (Bonnie) Eysol of Goshen and Dolores (Dorie) Kramer of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Demi Friccero and a stepson, Marvin Eysol. Mr. Peru served with US Marine Corps during World War II, the Korean War and two tours in Viet Nam and Cambodia, retiring in 1965. He then worked as plant manager for Trailer Coach Metals, Goshen, before retiring a second time. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening and hiking. Services will be held June 5 in Alaska. Locally, a memorial service, with military honors, will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. The Goshen Military Honor Guard will assist. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be given to Wounded Warrior Project.
