Clara Kilmer

Clara Kilmer, 93, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Majestic Care of Goshen.

She was born December 31, 1928 in Nappanee to Joseph and Emma (Miller) Schwartz.

On October 24, 1948 she married Sandford “Sandy” Kilmer. They were married for 67 years before he died on December 14, 2015.

Survivors include one son, Tim (Vanessa) Kilmer of Goshen; a daughter, Melody (Robert) Woodard, Fruitland Park, Florida; a son-in-law, Tim Troutman of Rittman, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and three sisters, Esther Helmuth, Nora Weldy and Lora (Bill) Yoder all of Wakarusa.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ella Troutman; a son, Phil Kilmer; a grandson, Anthony Kilmer; a great-granddaughter, Ava Grace and five siblings.

Clara was a member of Clinton Frame Church since 1967 and part of the worship team. She worked at Everett’s for 25 years, owned and operated B & K Sales and Rental. She was a gifted yodeler and devoted wife and mother.

Friends may call Friday, November 18, 2022 from 5 to 8 and again from 9 to 10 Saturday morning at Clinton Frame Church.  A Saturday funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. at the church.

Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery, Goshen.
