Clara Fraire Gonzalez, 100, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at home.

She was born August 18, 1922, in Santa Clara, Durango, Mexico, to Florencio Fraire Carrillo and Francisca Gonzalez Fraire.

On April 23, 1938, she married Magdaleno Martinez in Santa Clara. He died in July 2001.

Mrs. Fraire is survived by two daughters, Abigail (Juan) Martinez of Fort Wayne and Maria R. Maldonado of Goshen; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Gabriel Fraire of Mexico.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Armando Martinez; a daughter, Maria A. Martinez and nine infant children in Mexico.

Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2022, from 10 until the 12, noon, funeral service at Iglesia Sinai, 1213 E. Lincoln Ave., Goshen.

A graveside service and burial will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 14, at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial donations may be given to Iglesia Sinai.
