Clair S. Hoover

Clair S. Hoover, 93, of Goshen, died Sunday, June 14, 2020, a Greencroft Healthcare.

He was born March 6, 1927 in Goshen to Curtis and Cleo (Moyer) Hoover.

On Oct. 14, 1950 he married Donnabelle Garber.  She died July 26, 2016.

Survivors include a daughter, Kristine (George III) Skyrm and a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Weaver both of Goshen; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Carol Leinbach of Goshen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a son, Michael Hoover.

A lifetime area resident, Mr. Hoover was a middle school math and science teacher in Wakarusa.  An active member of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, he sang in several quartets. He was also a ham radio operator.  Spending time with family was a highlight of his life.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 20, 2020, from 10 a.m. until the 12, noon, funeral service at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church.  Pastor Wes Bontreger will officiate.

Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Yellow Creek Mennonite Church.
