Chester A. “Chet” Campbell, 83, of Goshen died Tuesday, September 27, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born and raised in West Virginia to John and Hazel (McBee) Campbell.
On May 13, 1967 he married Mary Ellen Schrock in Goshen.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years and their four children, Tony (Betty) Campbell, Hillsboro, Oregon, John (Melissa) Campbell, Mishawaka, Jodi Campbell, Goshen and Glen Campbell, Goshen; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild and a brother.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by two children, Kimberly in 1968 and Ray in 2020 and three brothers and a sister.
He served in the Army for four years and moved to Indiana in 1966. He was a Coca Cola delivery man for 16 years, Bontrager Pools and along with his wife Mary, owned Mary Ellen’s Kitchen for 13 years.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 30 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 1, funeral service at First Baptist Church, Goshen. Rev. Lawrence Byrnes will officiate.
Cremation will follow the service.
