Chester Bleile

Chester W. Bleile, 92, of Goshen, Indiana, died on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

He was born on August 10, 1933, in Nappanee, Indiana, to John and Vera (Anglemyer) Bleile. On April 5, 1993, he married Brenda (Draper) Bleile in Goshen, Indiana.

Chester is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Bleile; his three daughters, Christine (Mike) Stenger of Greenfield, Indiana, Dawn (James) Kibler of York, South Carolina, and Denise (Steven) Schrock of Middlebury, Indiana; his son, Dean Bleile of New Paris, Indiana; as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his siblings, sisters Arlis (Junior) Wortinger and Darlene (Bill) Hane, and brother Dallas Bleile.

Chester was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed both watching and participating in sports throughout his life. He played men’s fast-pitch softball, bowled with his friends at the Moose, and enjoyed playing basketball in his younger years. His love of sports and camaraderie brought him great joy.

Visitation will be held Thursday January 22, 2026, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
