Cheryl Lynn Young

Cheryl Lynn Young, 58, of Elkhart, died early Saturday morning, June 2, 2007, at the IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.   She was born on November 12, 1948, in Paoli, Indiana, to Ollie and Ermal (Wagoner) Hardin.  She married Thomas R. Young on March 8, 1980.  He survives.   Mrs. Young moved to Elkhart 28 years ago from French Lick, Indiana.  She worked as an administrative assistant in the Cedar’s Unit at Oaklawn since 1994.  She was a member of the Elkhart Moose.   Mrs. Young is survived by her husband, Thomas; three sons, Darrin (Amber) of Elkhart, Craig Tucker and Tracy (Heather) Tucker, both of French Lick, Indiana; two step-sons, Tery R. Young of San Francisco, California and Trevor Young of Mishawaka, Indiana; two step-daughters, Tami (Kert) Parsley of Springfield, Missouri and Traci (Justin) Wessel of Charlotte, North Carolina; and three sisters, Sue (Mike) Wheeler of Goshen, Brenda Grotrian of Elkhart and Jean Nolan of French Lick, Indiana.   She was preceded in death by six siblings, Marilyn Whitehead, Evalou Kern, Ann Lorey, Bob, Kenny and Ollie Hardin, Jr.   Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   A 10:00 a.m. funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Goshen. Pastor Jeff Mumaw of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church will officiate.   Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions may be given to Clinton Frame Mennonite Church MYF Missions Trip.
