Cheryl McBride, 56, of Goshen, died Friday evening, March 7, 2014 at IU Health Goshen Hospital. She was born July 18, 1957 in Goshen, to Vernon and Lila (Chupp) Christner. On May 11, 1991 she married James "Corky" McBride in Bristol. He died on March 20, 2011. She is survived by a daughter and son, Mariah and Dakota McBride, both of Goshen; father and step-mother, Vernon (Lavina) Christner; mother, Lila Christner; and a sister Charlotte (Dave) Miller, of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Doris Graber. A 1976 graduate of Fairfield High School, she was an active member at Grace Community Church where she was part of the "Remarkable Women's Ministry" and also was a Deacon. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 funeral service, all at Grace Community Church, 20076 CR 36, Goshen. Pastor Jim Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at Miller (8 Square) Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be directed to Cheryl's children.
