Cheryl Marie Clason

Cheryl Marie Clason, 59, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, died Saturday evening, November 25, 2006, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor.   She was born May 10, 1947, in Goshen, Indiana, to Henry E. “Hank” and Mavis (Dahl) Clason of Goshen.   Ms. Clason had lived in Michigan for over 30 years.  She was an elementary school principal after having been a teacher and a reading specialist.  She touched thousand of children’s lives throughout her many years in education.   A 1965 graduate of Goshen High School, she went on to earn two master’s degrees; one from Indiana University, Bloomington and Oakland University, Detroit.  She was a world traveler and an expert snow skier.   She is survived by her parents and three brothers, Dr. Stephen E. Clason of Honolulu, Hawaii, Michael H. Clason of Houston, Texas, and Kevin J. Clason of Kokomo, Indiana.   There will be no visitation.   A 1:00 p.m., funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. John Wanders of the Green Road Church, Goshen, will officiate.   Cremated remains will be taken to Hawaii and put in the Pacific Ocean.   Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
