Charmaine Louise Ball, 82, of Goshen, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at her home after an extended, yet valiant struggle with Alzheimers.
She was born March 12, 1935 in Huntington to William and Florence (Walters) Sunderman.
On September 2, 1951 she married Arden K. Ball in Huntington.
He survives along with three children, David (Cara) Ball, Edwardsburg, Michigan, Marie Freeman, Breeding, Kentucky and Rebecca (Paris) Ball-Miller, Goshen; two grandchildren, Jason Ball, Durand, Michigan and Laura Ball, Lafayette, California; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeannine Willhour, Huntington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Ron Freeman.
Charmaine shared in ministry as a devoted pastor’s wife and worked tirelessly alongside Arden in his ministry at Camp Mack for 19 years. She was a dedicated and compassionate caregiver during Arden’s illness and his disability in the years that followed. She was a beloved partner, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mentor to many. Arden and Charmaine enjoyed travels, the out-of-doors, and their many pets over the years. She had a heart for animals and all of creation.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp crematory. An outdoor memorial service will be held in the spring.
Memorials may be given to FFRC (Friends of Feline Rescue Center, 14597 Power Dam Road, Defiance, OH) or Heartland Hospice.
