Charles Myron Short

Charles 'Charlie' Myron Short, 77, of Foraker, took his last breath on earth surrounded by loved ones on December 20,2023, after a long battle with cancer.

Charlie was born on January 3, 1946, to Myron C. and Bertha (Emmert) Short in Jackson, Missouri.

Charlie retired as an over the road truck driver for years for Eagle Transport, seeing many wonderful places. He also was very active in amateur radio, call sign K9BIF. Charlie was a member of the Goshen Amateur Radio Club for decades. He enjoyed slow scan tv, electronic repair, Mickey Mouse and attending car shows. Charlie would share this love for amateur radio with the love of his life, Karen McLaren.

He was eagerly awaited at Heaven’s gates by his parents. Those of us left behind will always cherish the memories that he left with us as he was always full of jokes and smiles.

No services are scheduled at this time, but a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time. Charlie will be laid to rest at Elkhart Prairie Cemetery in Goshen.
