Charles A. Immel, 74, of New Paris, died Monday, April 23, 2018 at Goshen Hospital where he had been since April 16.
He was born September 21, 1943 in Goshen to Woodrow “Bud” and LaVeta (Miller) Immel.
On August 4, 1963 he married Nancy Wilson in Goshen. She died December 15, 2014.
Survivors include two sons, Chris (Tonia) Immel of Goshen and Thad (Stacey) Immel of Evansville; three grandchildren, Natalie, Gale and Jack Immel; two siblings, Carolyn (Charles) Bame of Flagstaff, Arizona and Keith (Linda) Immel of North Manchester; and a niece, Beth (Brent) Haag of Thorntown.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Everett Immel in 1965.
A 1961 graduate of New Paris High School, Mr. Immel worked at Smoker Craft for 48 years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Goshen and New Paris Alumni Association.
Friends may call Thursday, April 26, 2018,from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the Friday, April 27, 10 a.m. funeral service at Faith Lutheran Church, 5th and Madison Campus. Pastors John Hickey and Jessica King will officiate.
Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church.
