Charles "Chuck" Edward Strahm

Charles “Chuck” Strahm, 55, of Goshen, died Sunday evening, July 11, 2010, at his home after a two year battle with cancer. He was born in Goshen on November 16, 1954, to the late Carl C. Strahm and Goldie (Clark) Strahm of Goshen.  He married Sherri Berkey on May 4, 1984 in Elkhart.  She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Sherrie Strahm, Indianapolis; and two grandsons, Tylur and Trey. He was preceded in death by a son, David Strahm in 2004. A 1973 graduate of Goshen High School, he worked for A.G. Trucking in Goshen.  He earned his Eagle Scout from the Boys Scout of America and was a past member of the Goshen Moose.  Mr. Strahm was active with his GHS Class of 73 Reunion Committee.  He and his wife, Sherri enjoyed scuba diving together. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. An 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with Rev. John Hickey of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Goshen.
