Charles Dickison, 79, of  Goshen, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 13, 2010. He was born October 16, 1930 in Traverse City, Michigan, to Charles & Bessie (Trimmer) Dickison.  He married Betty L. Yoder, in December 1950 in Elkhart.  They divorced and  then he married Corabelle (Swoveland) Weaver  on September 20, 1980 in Goshen.  She died June 12, 2006. He is survived by two daughters, LeAnn Dickison of Shipshewana and DiAnn (Al) Clevenger of Hopkins, Michigan; a son, Craig (Karen) Dickison of Goshen; a step-daughter, Karen D. Smith of Goshen, two step-sons, Ricky D. (Sharon) Weaver of Newport News, Virginia, and Donald C. (Janice) Weaver of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hattie Lewis of Manistee, Michigan. He was preceded in death by two sister, Ruth Tucker and Ann Bryket. A 1949 graduate of Goshen High School, Mr. Dickison served with the US Army in Korea and was a member of the Goshen DAV #15 and the VFW #985.  He worked in maintenance for Martin's Feed Mills and as a mechanic for Yoder's GMC until 1973.  He retired in 1995. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 16 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Bev Weaver and Tim Yoder of Goshen City Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery, New Paris, with a military graveside service. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children for PKU Research.
