Charlene J. Jetter

Indianapolis – Charlene J. Jetter, 90, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024 at South Pointe Healthcare.

She was born March 26, 1934 in Charlotte, Michigan to Rex and Bessie (Cooper) Satterlee.

Survivors include daughters, Kathy (Jeffry) Grider of Greenwood and Renee (Donald) Mitchell of Austin, Texas; daughter-in-law, Tammy Jetter of Osceola; nine grandchildren; Amanda Jetter, Charles Jetter, Bernie Jetter, Jason Grider, Chris Grider, Joey Mitchell, Meridith Mitchell, Paige Mitchell and Nicole Trowbridge; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Norma Clute of Jackson, Michigan and Nancy (Phil) Herzel of Woodland, Michigan.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Jetter; a son, Timothy Jetter; and siblings Coreen Shoup and Eugene Satterlee.

Mrs. Jetter was a graduate of the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music with an Associate’s Degree and was a charter member of Chester Gospel Church. Charlene enjoyed volunteering for the Council on Aging and with SHIIP, Senior Health Insurance Information Program, assisting with all aspects of Medicare applications. She was employed by Reese Products and retired after 26 years in 1994. She was also an active volunteer for the Goshen Red Cross.

A graveside service at Adamsville Cemetery, Edwardsburg, Michigan will take place at a later date.
