Cephas C. Troyer, 91, of Goshen, passed away early Saturday morning, April 21, 2012, at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born February 3, 1921 in Elkhart County to Christian M. and Elizabeth (Miller) Troyer. He married Mary Jean Birky June 14, 1958 in Kouts at the Hopewell Mennonite Church. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Janice (Paul) Beachy of Syracuse; a son, Nevin (Sue) Troyer of Goshen; three step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; three adopted grandchildren; and a sister, Wilma (Henry) Herschberger of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Amy Bontrager, Ella Miller and Sue Bontrager; and four brothers, Ora D., Lester, Owen and Leroy Troyer. A farmer and lifetime area resident, Mr. Troyer was a member of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church. He enjoyed traveling, reading, and woodworking. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Goshen. A 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012, funeral service will be conducted at the church with Pastors Terry Diener and Danny Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in Clinton Frame Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Clinton Frame Outreach Ministry.
