Cathy Sue Kress

Cathy Sue Kress, 74 of Goshen, died Saturday, January 31, 2026 at her home under hospice care.

She was born June 10, 1951 in Newport, Arkansas to Charles and Lena (McLain) Robbins.

She is survived by two sons, Terry (Wade) Hughes of Michigan and Aaron Hughes of Goshen; grandchildren, Logan Hughes and Kailie Hurst; and four sisters, Betty (Richard) Dickson of Lakeville, Debra (Bill) Douglas of Osceola, Wilma Books of Elkhart and Lori (Larry) Dooley of Granger; and two brothers Charles (Janne) Robbins II and Marc (Stephanie) Robbins of Elkhart.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dennis Books.

A 1969 Jimtown High School, she remained a lifelong fan and supporter of school activities and athletics.

Cathy worked as a property manager, although her preferred title was that of “grandma”, and enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. If she had any down time she enjoyed reading.

Visitation will be Friday, February 6, 2026 from 12 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
