Catherine A. Folker

Catherine A. Folker, 62, died Saturday evening, August 29, at I.U. Health Goshen Hospital, after a steady decline in health. She was born in Goshen to Wilbur "W.C.," Folker and Virginia Mae Folker on September 29, 1952. A graduate of Goshen High School, class of 1971, Cathy worked at the Goshen Post Office until becoming Postmaster, serving both the Millersburg and Wawaka Post Offices. Cathy was an avid bowler and has been inducted into the Goshen Bowler's Hall of Fame. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary #985, and the Women of the Moose. Cathy enjoyed dancing and watching classic movies. She leaves behind her mother; a sister Virginia L. Anderson, Syracuse; numerous nephews and nieces; and her constant companion, Joseph Rice. Cathy was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Patricia G. Winning; a brother Don M. McKee; and a nephew, David Meade. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, from 5-8 pm, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where an 11 am funeral service will be conducted on Thursday. Burial will follow the service at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
