Carroll G. Chrisman

Goshen

Carroll G. Chrisman, 90, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Greenleaf Health Campus, Elkhart.

He was born August 7, 1933 in Goshen to Clayton L. and Mary E. (Walter) Chrisman.

On February 27, 1960, he married Monna R. Dorsett in Goshen.  She passed away November 1, 2009.

Mr. Chrisman is survived by a daughter-in-law, Lisa Chrisman; two grandchildren, Chelsea (Christopher) Curtis and Clayton Chrisman and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Olivia Curtis, all of Goshen.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher C. L. Chrisman; a daughter, Hillary J. Chrisman White and two siblings, Patty L. Shoup and C. Neil Chrisman.

A veteran of the Korean War, he retired as a clerk from Johnson Controls.

A family man, he cared for and loved his family immensely.  He was an avid member of Silver Sneakers.  An animal lover, he enjoyed traveling and cooking and he was an avid gardener, propagating his own irises.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 2 to 5 p.m. and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Monday, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Doug Henkel will officiate.

Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg.

Memorial donations may be given to Elkhart County Humane Society, American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
