Carolyn Jean Snyder

Carolyn Jean Snyder, 79, formerly of Maple Park, passed away Dec. 2, at Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart, Indiana.

She was born Feb. 5, 1943 in DeKalb to Robert A. Stearns and Fern (Mihm) Stone.

Survivors include two sons, Steven (Dina) Snyder, Goshen, Indiana and Gregory Snyder, Sycamore; four grandchildren, Angela (Nate) Harris, Samantha (Tom) Martin, Charles (Matthew) Snyder and Sarah (Eric) Gillingham; four great-grandchildren Jesse & Corbin Harris, Eleanor Martin and Orion Bowen; brothers, Robert Stearns and Carl Stearns and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Richard C. Snyder, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine M. Hattan and a brother, Richard Sheridan.

Carol worked on the family farm in Maple Park alongside her husband Richard, until they retired and relocated to Florida.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
