Carolyn Kaye Hach

Carolyn K. Hach, 82 of Goshen passed away early morning on March 17,2021 at the Maples of Waterford Crossing.

Carolyn was born in Bay City, MI to Mildred and Albert Hartz.  She graduated from Bay City High and attended Bay City Jr. College.  Carolyn married her true love, Joel Hach and they celebrated 51 wonderful years together.

She is survived by her children, Dave (Liz) Hach, Texas; Steve (Mary) Hach, Carmel; and Jen (Nick) Panich, Indianapolis.  “Nana” is also survived by her cherished four grandchildren Alexandra Hach, Aaron Hach, Maeve Panich and Emily Hach.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joel; her parents, Albert and Mildred; brother, Wendall; and sister, Beverly.

Carolyn and Joel moved to Goshen in 1962.  She enjoyed being a mother, baking, sewing, family trips and Christmas celebrations. Favorite memories were her trips with Joel to Mackinac Island, Maine and Hawaii. Goodies and Texas Sheet Cake were always on the menu. She loved the children and families at First United Methodist Nursery School where she taught for over 25 years.  She would glow when many of her former students remembered her. She also was a receptionist for the Goshen YMCA and Dr. Kenneth Hideman. She enjoyed her involvement in the sewing circle and Adult Sunday School groups at First United Methodist Church where she was a member since 1964. She was also a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Friends may call Thursday, March 25 from noon to 2pm at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.  A funeral service and burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the First United Methodist Church Music Ministry or Riley’s Hospital for Children.
