Carole Jean Taapken

Carole Jean Taapken, 77, of Danville, Illinois, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at OSF Hospital in Danville.

She was born April 11, 1943 in Petersburg, Illinois, to William Hohimer and Dollie (Vaughn) Woods.

Survivors include four children, Randy (Missie) Taapken of Beardstown, Illinois; Lisa Taapken, Syracuse, Indiana; Tony Taapken of Elkhart, Indiana; and Michael (Mindy) Taapken of Alberton, Montana; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jesse Clifford, Jr. and 11 brothers and sisters.

Carole loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was an avid reader and a retired caregiver.

A 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2020, burial will take place at Brown Cemetery, Millersburg, Indiana.
