Carol Corrine Profitt Hodges

Carol Corrine Profitt Hodges, 72, of Goshen, died Friday morning at her home. She had been ill for six weeks. She was born October 24, 1938 in Princeton, West Virginia to the late Charles and Lucille (Farmer) Profitt. She married Donald Hodges November 16, 1957. He survives. She is survived by two daughters, Penny (Ken Montgomery) Troxell, Ontario, Ohio, and Judy (Adan Lopez) Alba, Goshen; four sons, Steve Hodges, Millersburg, Tim Hodges, Goshen, Barry (Cindy) Hodges, Sarona, Wis., and Donnie Hodges, Goshen; 23 grandchildren, Dustin, Brandon, Talin, Chase, Logan, Riley, Bridgette, Cory, Kayla, Angel, Breana, Erika, Ethan, Autumn, Treasure, Eric, Jor'don, Ryan, Brooklyn, Ashley, Nikki, Donni Ray, and Desirae; two step-grandchildren, John and Dakota; 19 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Phyllis Crews, Cocoa, Fla., Virginia (Bruce) Byrd and Nancy (Cody)Lyons, both of Statesville, N.C.; and three brothers, RC (Jenny) Profitt, Catawba, N.C., and William (Ruth) Profitt and Carl (Darlene) Profitt, both from Statesville, N.C. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ann Hodges; a son, Jeffery Wayne Hodges; two grandchildren, Shawn Troxell and Phillip Oliver; three sisters, Shirley Profitt, Betty Lyons and Suellen Hodges; and a brother, Paul Profitt. A Goshen resident for 46 years, Mrs. Hodges worked as an inspector for Goshen Rubber for 20 years. She was a member of Goshen United Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed fishing and collecting unique items. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 18 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2011, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Roberts of United Pentecostal Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be to the Whistle Stop, Goshen.
