Carol Martha Greeson, 82, of Goshen, died late Saturday night, January 5, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born December 6, 1925, in Goshen, to Ezra M. and Florence (Koos) Hoover. She married Robert L. Greeson in August of 1951, in Indianapolis. He preceded her in June 1990. Mrs. Greeson taught elementary school at Lawrence Township and Oaklandon Elementary, both in Indianapolis, before moving back to the area in 2001. She was active in the First Trinity Lutheran Church of Indianapolis and in the Indiana State Teachers’ Association. A 1943 graduate of New Paris High School, she attended Goshen College and graduated from Ball State University. She is survived by two sons, S. Douglas (Linda) Greeson of Albion, Indiana, and Joseph S. (Holly) Greeson of Glennallen, Alaska; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Norma (Dan) Wysong of New Paris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; a son, Edward; an infant daughter, Robin; three sisters, Gladys Coble, Doris Bollero and Helen Hollar; and a brother, Don Hoover. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2008, funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home. Rev. Jeff Iacobazzi will officiate. A private family burial will take place in Oaklawn Cemetery, Indianapolis Memorial contributions may be made to First Trinity Lutheran Church of Indianapolis; Christian Children's Fund; or Assistance Leaguewhich provides clothing and shoes for Indianapolis school children.
