Carmen Maritza Cruz

Carmen Martiza Cruz, 46, of Goshen, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, January 20, 2007, in the emergency room at Goshen General Hospital.   She was born April 26, 1960, in Cidra, Puerto Rico, to Gonzalo and Lydia (Suarez) Leon.  She married Juan Cruz on February 28, 1981, in Naguabo, Puerto Rico.  He survives.   A graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, Mrs. Cruz, attended the First Baptist Church in Goshen.  She was a homemaker.   She is survived by her husband, Juan; a son, Michael Cruz of Goshen; a grandchild; her mother, Lydia Leon of Cidra, Puerto Rico; two sisters and three brothers of Puerto Rico.   She was preceded in death by her father.   A private funeral service was held on Monday, January 22, 2007 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   Rev. Gregg Lanzen of the First Baptist Church officiated.   Burial will be in Cidra, Puerto Rico.
