Calvin A. Miller, 84, of Millersburg, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, April 8, 2012, at his home. He was born January 20, 1928, in LaGrange County to Amos D. and Mary Ann (Schmucker) Miller. He married Marrietta Mae Ganger May 20, 1950 at Pleasant View Mennonite Church. She died September 14, 1989. He then married Darlene (Long) Leatherman on March 9, 1991. She died June 8, 2009. He is survived by a son, Terry Ray (Lori) Miller of Millersburg; a daughter, Ann Marie (Gabe) Nila of El Paso, Texas; two step-sons, Joe (Peg) Leatherman of Syracuse, and Jon (Jennifer) Leatherman, Millersburg; two step-daughters, Molly (Scott) Lung and Jill (Jesse) Garris, both of Goshen; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ellen (Gene) Blough of Goshen. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Ephram, Harley, Perry "Pete", Vernon and Jerry Allen Miller. A lifelong area resident, Mr. Miller was a member of Clinton Brick Mennonite Church his entire life and the Millersburg Lions Club. He served his 1-W service from 1953-1955 in Indianapolis. A self employed excavating contractor he retired in 1991. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 12 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, funeral service at Clinton Brick Mennonite Church, Goshen. Pastor David Hathaway will officiate. Burial will follow in Clinton Brick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Clinton Brick Mennonite Church or The American Heart Association.
