Bryce “Glen” McIntosh, 85, of Greencroft Blvd., Goshen, died at 9:55 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Greencroft Gables. He was born July 20, 1923, in Edmonton, AL. Canada, to Donald Robert and Cora Ellen (Wolfe) McIntosh. He moved with his family to Biggar, SK, Canada and Corvallis, OR. On February 17, 1947, he married Adele Birkinshaw in Bellingham, WA. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Bruce McIntosh, Chaska, MN, and Gregg (Nancy) McIntosh, Wawaka, IN; two daughters, Julie (Daniel) Datish, Cortland, OH and Sue (Kim) Wilfong, Goshen; five grandchildren, Heather, Stuart, Nadia, Lena, and Danielle; two step-grandchildren, Jamie and Carrie; and a step-great-granddaughter, Morgan. Mr. McIntosh was a graduate of the University of British Columbia and a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force where he served during World War II. He held a number of management positions in the dairy and poultry industries. In 1973, he and Adele purchased Kauffman Greenhouse, Goshen and operated it as McIntosh Greenhouse and Garden Center until their retirement. He, along with his wife, was very involved in the Indiana Flower Growers Association. He enjoyed flower crop growing, travel, golf, collecting and reading. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. The funeral service will immediately follow at 7 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Rev. Bob Doane of Zion Community Church, Millersburg, will officiate. Cremation will be handled by Yoder-Culp and interment will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to La Casa Neighborhood Gardens.
