Bryan Lee Fox aka Big Foxy beat the rest of us to heaven, passing away on March 25, 2026. His life is a wonderful display of God’s relentless pursuit and transforming power.
Bryan was born on September 30, 1959, to Harold and Evelyn Fox in Bremen, Indiana. He fully embraced the role of pestering little brother to his siblings Dennis and Cheryl.
He excelled in athletics at Bremen High School and had lifelong relationships with several teammates and coaches. After graduating high school in 1978, Bryan earned his bachelor’s degree in health education from Indiana State University. During his time Larry Bird played for the Sycamores. Although he never ended up being employed by a school, he was a true teacher all throughout his life.
Bryan was an incredibly skilled cement finisher and hard worker. His long time friend and co-worker, Mike, told him if there was a “Concrete Finishers Hall of Fame” that Bryan would be the first one inducted. Often, he would go from work to “side jobs” where he was able to display his creativity through decorative stamped concrete. He was particular about his work and loved sharing tricks of the trade with people on his crew- as well as playing tricks on them.
Marrying Kim Bobbitt on July 19, 1986, was one of the best decisions Bryan ever made. They built a life together in New Paris and raised their children Emily (Daniel) Stichter and Ben (Elise) Fox to love Jesus, support others and cheer for the Chicago Bears.
Bryan was an amazing Poppy to Adylyn, Elias, Shea and Thea. His giant hands affectionately referred to as pickle fingers made for the best tickling monster and his generous heart was a welcome place for any needs (or wants!) they may have had.
We miss him deeply, but we have truthfully been missing him for a while now. We rejoice that he is now whole and not restricted by the physical limitations of his earthly body. Praise be to God!
