Bruce L. Swihart

Bruce L. Swihart, 62, of Bloomfield, died Thursday evening, June 16, 2011, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born February 10, 1949 in Goshen to Barbara (Carpenter) Jewett of Goshen and Norman Swihart of Goshen. He married Kathleen Mary Conley. She died April 6, 2010. He is survived by a brother, Randall Swihart of Osceola; a sister, Dawn Jackson of Middlebury; a step-sister, Pamela Thacker of Fishers, nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Roy Swihart and Kenneth and Maurine Carpenter. He was owner and operator of Distinctive Home, Inc. of Bloomfield. Friends will be received 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 19 at Jenkins, Lester and Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield and from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 20, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2011 funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Cancer Society or Gideons' International.
