Bruce Allen Lau

Bruce Allen Lau, 48, of Elkhart, passed away at his home Monday evening, April 30, 2012, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 31, 1964 in Goshen. He married Sheryl "Casey" Brooks June 21, 2001 in Goshen. Bruce is survived by his wife; his mother, Barbara Lau of Elkhart; a step-son, Keith D. (Patti) Walker of Sycamore, Illinois; two grandchildren, Eriq and Cassie; and three brothers, Robert D. (Pat) Lau of Fort Wayne, Brian D (Joan) Lau and Brad D. Lau, both of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Lau. A 1982 graduate of Goshen High School, he served with the US Army for three years in Hawaii. He was a member of the Elks Club Post #798. He worked as a software engineer at Composites One, Goshen. Bruce's wishes were to be cremated. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2012, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 4 p.m. memorial service will be conducted. Hospice Chaplain Jane Miller will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Home Care and Hospice and Bruce A. Lau Memorial Education Fund.
