Brian L. Harris

April 29, 1957 — August 6, 2010

Goshen – Brian L. Harris, 53, beloved husband and loving father, died Friday evening, August 6, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital as the result of an accident. He was born in Findlay, Ohio on April 29, 1957 to the late K. Dale Harris and Charlotte (Rosebrook) Harris of Deshler, Ohio.  He married Anna Marie Frankovich on October 10, 1981 in Deshler.  She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Laura Marie Harris and a son, John Everett Harris, both of Goshen; three brothers, Steven (Ann) Harris of Whitestone, Virginia, and Kent (Sherrie) Harris and Todd (Sherry) Harris, both of Deshler, Ohio; mother-in-law, Lucille Frankovich and sister-in-law, Catherine Frankovich, both of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and many cherished nieces, nephews and dear friends. Mr. Harris was currently working as Operations Manager of Formco, Inc., as a Foster Parent Trainer for Oaklawn the last 18 years, and Bashor Children’s Home as a youth caretaker. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Goshen where he was involved as a choir member, led the praise team, and belonged to the bell choir.  He grew up in the 4-H program and he supported his children in 4-H while they were growing up.  Mr. Harris enjoyed playing the piano and singing, landscaping, raising animals at home, his neighbor friends, taking long walks to enjoy nature, and spending time with his loved ones. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, with a 6 p.m., rosary given by Pat Turco at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.  An 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 12, 2010, funeral service will be conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor John Hickey officiating Burial will be at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler, Ohio, following cremation at Yoder-Culp Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harris Family.
