Brenda R. Penland

Brenda R. Penland, 71, of Goshen died Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Goshen Hospital.

Born November 9, 1952 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Daniel and Gladys Adkins; she was one of 13 children born to them.

On October 25, 1975 she married Randall “Randy” Penland in Goshen. He died August, 21, 2020.

Survivors include a son, Billy (Stephanie) Penland, and a daughter, Jolene (Joe) Brown, both of Goshen; four grandchildren, Marian, Emma, Peyton and Cody; and four great-grandchildren, Parker, Freya, Arowen and Joseph.

Brenda enjoyed playing bass guitar with her husband Randy in the country western band “Long Shot”.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. at The Life Center, Goshen. Pastor Chad Yoder will officiate.

Inurnment will take place at Violett Cemetery.

Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
