She was born September 12, 1943 in Goshen to Adrian and Martha (Zentz) Warstler.
Brenda lived most of her life in Goshen and was a 1961 graduate of Goshen High School.
On June 12, 1976 she married Max Eugene Hartman in Roseland. She was a member of Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen, and worked most of her life at Goshen Stamping, retiring in 2003.
Brenda enjoyed the 33 states she and Max visited on their Honda Goldwing motorcycle. She also enjoyed camping, Notre Dame basketball and football, and watching NASCAR.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Max; two sons, Randy Newman of North Liberty and Kelly (Britt) Newman of Goshen; two daughters, Tammy (Shawn) Looney and Cynthia Palmer, both of Elkhart; two step-children, Glenda G. (Carlos) Hall of Grapevine, Texas and Shawn E. Hartman of Tennessee; two brothers, Larry (Pat) Warstler of Goshen, and Roger (Cindy) Warstler of Burket; step-mother, Marilyn Warstler of Goshen; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Jeff Warstler and Bryan Warstler.
Friends may call Wednesday, October 4, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-, Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m., Thursday funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Linda Sue Hewitt will officiate.
Burial will follow at Olive West Cemetery, Elkhart.
