Bonnie L. Arnold, 87, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, February 26, at home after battling breast cancer.
She was born January 30, 1934, in Goshen to Murl O. and Theresa (Foss) Eldridge.
Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Kathryn (James) Morgan of Fountain, Florida and Brenda Houser of Elkhart; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Donna (Norman) Fisher, Virginia Morse and Dorothy (John) Christner; eight nieces and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Tom Eldridge, a sister-in-law, Judi Eldridge, and a brother-in-law, Dana Morse.
A 1952 graduate of Goshen High School, Bonnie worked for IMC, Elkhart from 1970 to 1990 and then for Joní Furniture, Wakarusa until her retirement in 1998.
Bonnie traveled extensively in the U.S., including Hawaii, with her family. Her hobbies included reading, doing puzzles, knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, embroidery and sewing and made many gifts for weddings, babies and special celebrations. She and her sisters published a collection of favorite family recipes for the younger generations to enjoy.
Public visitation will be Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 3, at the funeral home with burial following in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Heartland Hospice or Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
