Bob W. Henke, 59, of Goshen, died early Monday morning, August 4, 2014, after a sudden illness while bike riding. He was born August 19, 1954 in Elkhart to Robert E. and Verna Henke. On September 18, 1993 he married Denise Weirich in Goshen. She survives along with two children, Austin R. and Adrienne N. Henke, both at home; his mother, Verna Henke of Middlebury; and four brothers, George Henke of Elkhart, Gordon (Denise) Henke of Middlebury, David (Kim) Henke of Elkhart and Tim (Heidi) Henke of Granger. He was preceded in death by his father. A 1972 graduate of Clinton Christian School, Bob worked at Mission Woodworking, Bristol. His kids' biggest fan, he loved sports and was very competitive. Bob was a selfless man, always put others ahead of himself. He was a constant mentor for every person he came in contact with. He had a big heart for animals. Friends may call Wednesday, August 6, 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, August 7, , 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday at the church. An 11 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2014, funeral service will be conducted at River of Life Fellowship, 11162 S.R. 120, Middlebury. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorial contributions may be given to his children's college fund through First State Bank of Middlebury.
