Blanche K. Hartzler, 99, of Goshen, died Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Greencroft Health Care.
She was born July 22, 1922 in Gasport, New York to Elmer F. and Lydia (Hooley) Murray.
She married Ralph G. Hartzler on August 10, 1944 in Gasport, New York. He died August 23, 2001.
Blanche is survived by six children, Dwain J. (Marilyn) Hartzler of Goshen, David D. Hartzler of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Murray G. (Anita) Hartzler of Florence, South Carolina, Karen (Mel) Miller of Akron, New York, Joella (John Bernard) Hartzler of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Kay (Mervin) Reist of North Liberty; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, John (Marilyn) Murray of Hesston, Kansas and two sisters, Doris Klingelsmith of Sarasota, Florida and Shirley Miller of Harrisburg, Virginia.
Along with her parents and husband, Blanche was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers, Joella Troyer, Gladys Peebles, Grace Nelson, Ruth Mawhinney, Orpha Miller, Elmer, Franklin, Joseph, Paul and Gerald Murray.
Blanche was a member of Waterford Mennonite Church. She worked for Greencroft food service. She was a proud to own and operate Goshen Soccer Supply out of her basement.
A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 21 at Violett Cemetery.
