Bill Hite

Willis “Bill” Hite, 94, of Goshen died Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Majestic Care.

He was born June 30, 1927 in Goshen to George and Pearl (Inks) Hite.

Bill was a life time area resident. He voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1945, and served honorably until his discharge in 1946.

Bill was a member of the Goshen D.A.V. and V.F.W. He worked for Journey Motor Homes, Elkhart prior to his retirement.

Bill was an avid antique collector, particularly Goshen area memorabilia.

Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Smith; a second wife, Betty (Bontrager) Slabaugh; two sons, William H. and Dennis Hite; and a brother, Harold Hite.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Hallie Clark of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Theo; and a nephew, Steve Hite of Goshen

A graveside service will be held, Monday, May 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Pastor Bryon Smith will officiate.
