Beverly R. Slagle

Beverly Slagle, 87, of Goshen, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Greencroft Health Care, Goshen.

She was born December 9, 1929 in Chicago to Richard and Edna (Kaeding) Vinke.

On May 14, 1950 she married James P. Slagle.  He died October 21, 2012.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Craig) Chupp of Goshen; sons, Lloyd (Karen) Slagle and Terry (Betty) Slagle, both of Nappanee and Paul (Donna) Slagle of Dayton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Vivian Kane of Nappanee.

A member of Faith Lutheran Church, Mrs. Slagle was very active in her church.  She was a member of the Red Hat Club, Evergreen Singers and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She worked for the Nappanee Telephone Company prior to her marriage and later as a teller for St. Joe Valley Bank.

Friends may call Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. Wednesday funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Cremation will follow the service and burial will be at a later date in South Union Cemetery, Nappanee.

Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Lutheran Church for missions.
