As a child, Bev lived on a farm with her parents that was originally homesteaded by her great-great grandparents. She was in 4-H, learned to play piano and sew as a young girl. She married Lowell Fisher on July 24, 1948 and they raised their five children on a farm southeast of Goshen. She loved animals and farmed alongside her husband for 40 years.
Lowell died in 1988. She married Bill Yoder in 1990. They enjoyed travelling and eventually moved to a condo at Waterford Crossing, Goshen, where she was involved in many activities. Bill died in 2014 and in 2015 Bev moved to assisted living.
Bev was a member of Rock Run Church of the Brethren for 65 years, where she played organ and piano and served God and her church family faithfully. She was also a member of the Fairfield Homemakers. She treasured time with her family and friends.
She bought and moved into a home on the outskirts of Goshen in September of 2020 with her eldest daughter after Covid restrictions became even more rigid. She decided to live her remaining days her way. The last nine months of her life were filled with fun, food, family and friends.
