Beverly E. Cotherman, 84, of Goshen, died Thursday, September 3, 2015, which was her 66th wedding anniversary, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born Feb. 28, 1931 in Goshen to Wayman and Della E. (Butler) Rarick. On Sept. 3, 1949 she married C. Robert Cotherman. He survives along with two daughters, Denise (Rob) Hoffer, Goshen and Teresa (Jim) Fenner, Middlebury; three sons, Steven (Paula) Cotherman, Lawrenceburg, Gary (Sonja) Cotherman, Goshen and Kevin (Mary) Cotherman, Baltimore; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lowell (Myrna) Rarick, Bremen. Mrs. Cotherman was a 1949 Goshen High School graduate and member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where she was active in the Rosary Society and helped in the Eagle's Nest child daycare. She also was a member with the New Paris Puzzle Quilters Club and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #985. She enjoyed many hobbies, especially sewing projects, and was well known for her delicious cooking. Beverly was a waitress in Goshen for more than 30 years before retiring from Olympia Candy Kitchen. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September, 8, 2015, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Rev. Father Anthony Steinacker will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial gifts may be directed to the Eagle's Nest c/o St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
