Beverly J. Albert

Beverly J. Albert, 83, of Goshen died Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her home following a short illness.

She was born June 3, 1935 in Elkhart to Melvin and Leona (Snyder) Mahler.

On October 28, 1956 she married Phillip Albert in Goshen at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  He died October 3, 2009.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, a.k.a. “daughter”, Denise (Gary) Mast of Millersburg; two grandsons, Phil (Vanessa Siberry) Albert of Goshen and Chad (Kristi) Springer of Allendale, Michigan; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Max Springer; two sisters, Bernice Miller and Gloriabell Johnson, both of Goshen; and many, many great friends.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Phillip E. Albert and many siblings.

A Jimtown High School graduate, Beverly worked at Excel Corporation for 29 years and owned and operated Doug’s Alignment with her husband, where she was currently serving as President (retired).

Mrs. Albert was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church; Goshen D.A.V. auxiliary; Goshen Eagle’s; American Legion; Goshen Moose; and life member of the Goshen V.F.W. Post #985 auxiliary.

She was full of life and spunk and loved time spent with family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.  Pastor Edward Arnold, Pine Ridge Bible Church, will officiate.

Burial in Violett Cemetery, Goshen will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, V.F.W. Post #985 or Goshen Home Care and Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Goshen V.F.W. Post #985, Saturday, May 4, 2019, starting at 5 p.m.
