Beulah M. Roose, 90, of Goshen, died Wednesday afternoon, April 24, 2013 at Courtyard Healthcare Center. She had been in nursing care the past month. She was born August 15, 1922 in Millersburg, to Noble and Freda (Sheley) Vance. On August 29, 1942 she married Charles Roose Jr., in Goshen. He died in November 2001. She is survived by a son, Terry Roose, Goshen; three daughters, Pamela Goppert, Goshen, Patsy Miller, New Paris, and Peggy (David) Williams, Elkhart; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Archer, Goshen. She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Williard H., Everett C., and Allen L. Vance; a sister Helen Hill; and two sons-in-law, John Goppert, and Lloyd Miller. Mrs. Roose was a 1941 graduate of Goshen High School and worked in the dietary department at Goshen Hospital. She was a homemaker, and charter member of the Clinton Clique Home Economics Club. She enjoyed decorating cakes, and bowled in the coffee league. Friends may call 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 1 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, funeral service will be held, led by Timothy T. Yoder. Burial will follow at Benton Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
