Beulah Mae Buller

Beulah M. Buller, 93, passed away Wednesday morning, November 23, 2016 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born August 21, 1923 near Yoder, Kansas to Noah J. and Jennie (Hooley) Schrock.

On September 22, 1951 she married John Buller in Topeka at the Maple Grove Mennonite Church.

He survives along with four sons, Jim (Jane Stoltzfus) Buller and John (Yvonne) Buller, both of Goshen and Myron (Connie Johnson) Buller and Bruce (Katie) Buller, both of Breckenridge, Colorado and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents by three sisters, Hazel Hostetler, Margaret Call and Grace Schrock and three brothers, Franklin, Orval and Lyle Schrock.

A longtime area resident, Mrs. Buller was an active member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church where she served in many different roles.

Mrs. Buller graduated from Topeka High School and Goshen College.  After World War II Mrs. Buller helped with post war clean up in Europe with Mennonite Relief Service.

She taught in Ligonier Public School before going into voluntary service with Mennonite Central Committee in Gulfport, Mississippi.

After her four sons were all in school, she served 22 years in Jefferson Elementary School cafeteriaand worked at Goshen Public Library for 4 years.  She also volunteered many years at the MCC thrift store and the local food pantry.

She found great joy in serving her family, home and church.  She loved gardening and being out in the world of nature.

Friends may call Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite Church.  Burial in the church cemetery will precede the 12, noon, memorial service, also at the church.  Pastors Tyler Hartford and Ron Diener will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Christian Schools.
