Betty Lou Wilson

Betty Lou Wilson, 65, of Goshen, died Tuesday afternoon, December 21, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital after a short illness. She was born November 19, 1945 in Cabin Creek, West Virginia, to the late Gerald and Ella L. (Payne) DeBoard.  She married Larry Wilson May 15, 1965 in Belle, West Virginia.  He survives. Also surviving are a son, Glenn K. Wilson of Bloomington; a sister, Lois Slaton of Farmersville, Louisiana; and two brothers, Jerry (Jean) DeBoard of Goshen, and Dana DeBoard of Victoria, Virginia. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny DeBoard. A Goshen resident for the past 18 years, Mrs. Wilson worked in the Goshen High School cafeteria.  She attended First Assembly of God Church, Goshen.  She was an avid animal lover and an advocate for the humane treatment of animals. Friends may call 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, December 26, at the funeral home where a 10 a.m., Monday, December 27, 2010, funeral service will be conducted.  Pastor Jason Kincaid of First Assembly of God Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
